The AutoRAI shows the first left hand drive production version of the Invicta S1. The timeless design has been kept for this production version, but Invicta upgraded some small aerodynamic improvements. The finish of the exterior and interior are also absolutely top level. The new burr walnut centre of the dashboard has a multi functional touch screen for navigation, climate control and audio controls. It is also possible to connect an mp3 player.

Rebirth
In the mid twenties Sir Noel Campbell Macklin started the Invicta Car Company. He intended to build a car that offered ‘effortless performance’. Invicta cars of the 1920’s and 1930’s were robust sports cars with an enormous torque. Therefore it was not necessary to change gears a lot. The Invicta cars combined the luxury of Rolls-Royce with the performance of Bentley, and set an enormous number of World Records for endurance and performance. In Motor Sport also, Invicta cars had many successes. Most notably, in 1931 Invicta was the first British car ever to win the Monte Carlo Rally outright.

The depression of the mid thirties reduced demand for these unique cars. On Friday the 13th October 1933, the Company closed down.

In the 1970’s, Vintage Car enthusiast and businessman Michael Bristow was searching for the ultimate pre-war British car. His final choice was an Invicta S-type built in 1930. This car inspired him so much that he decided manufacture a 21st Century Invicta, and the first production prototype of the Invicta S1 was shown to the world in October 2002.

The Invicta S1 is a super sport grand tourer. It is hand built to individual order, and it is extremely useful for daily use. It also has amazing class winning potential on motor racing circuits.
